Why Run the Darien Dash?

You’ll get an instant bonus when you sign up for Darien Dash.  It’s the motivation you’ll feel as you ramp up your running between now and the race.  The more training time you give yourself, the better you will do on May 19th, and the more fit you will be going into summer.

The 23rd annual Darien Dash runs through the scenic Hinsbrook subdivision nestled in the heart of Darien, Illinois. The courses for the 1 Mile, 5k, and 10k race are challenging, but the course was designed to be fast!  Start the 2024 season out with a strong performance!

This race is CARA Certified and has committed to following the CARA Best Practices Guidelines, a high set of standards for quality, safe and operationally sound races.

All participants must register online or at the race on race day.  There is otherwise no mail-in, phone-in, or in-person registration available.

Inclement Weather Policy

Inclement weather policy:  Prepared/monitored by Darien Police Department.  Lightning indicators will trigger in the area when lightning and/or severe weather is within 5 miles of the area.  Any cancellation of the event will be posted on the Darien Dash website, the Darien Chamber of Commerce website, Facebook, and announced on the Public Address system at the race location.

Darien Dash is located in west suburban Darien a mile north of I-55 conveniently between I-355 and I-294. With a teleporter, you can be here in no time.
